This critically acclaimed production began at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2014, and transferred to the Savoy Theatre in 2015, where it played to a packed auditorium every night. With dazzling choreography by world‑renowned Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta and Andrew Wright (Singin’ in the Rain and Barnum), and direction from New York’s Gordon Greenberg, the production received 6 Olivier award nominations and subsequently transferred to the Phoenix Theatre where it played until August 2016 starring Hollywood actress Rebel Wilson.
Based on the stories and characters of Damon Runyon, Guys and Dolls follows the tales of gangsters in New York and the love story between a gambling man and a Salvation Army woman and features some of Broadway’s greatest show stopping tunes such as “Luck Be a Lady”, “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat” and “My Time of Day”.
